Service was restored as of 4pm EST today, earlier than expected. All NYIIX peering sessions that were affected have been restored.
ETA on service restoration is 8:30PM EST. Fiber pairs were damaged and need to be replaced.
A power transformer caught on fire underground and Con Edison is performing repairs to their equipment. Fiber crews are currently not permitted to enter the scene to service their lines.
A service disruption caused by a manhole fire near the area of 60 Hudson St. in Lower Manhattan has impacted some of our NYIIX peering sessions. The relevant upstream connectivity provider, Lightower, has been notified and is working to restore service.
All systems are operating as expected.
